Magic everywhere ✨ Day 4

This morning we decided to sleep longer because we went to bed late. At 8 AM, we woke up, ate breakfast and at 10.30 AM we took the shuttle bus to the park. As every morning before, the sun was shining and the weather was great. We headed to the princess pavilion for Ariel. I haven't met her before so it was really exciting! We talked about Dinglehoppers and that she still likes to brush her hair with it. I asked how Flounder and Sebastian were doing and she showed me the pretty shell Flounder brought her from the ocean. I think I've never seen someone with such beautiful eyes like hers before. They are as blue as sapphire. We took great photos and made the fishy face together. Meeting Ariel was so much fun! It became our daily routine to visit the princess pavilion and after that, eat ice cream at Fantasia Gelati. I think it was about 1 PM when I checked Twitter on my mobile phone to see which characters are out in the park. When I saw that Aurora was in the Studios, we decided to go there. As we arrived, the cast members closed the queue.
I wasn't sad or dissapointed because I never am when I'm at Disneyland. Miracles wait for
you in every corner! And sometimes, they might be even better than you think and guess what? Soon after that, I saw that Jasmine and Aladdin were out too! Surprisingly, the queue was not too long and we hurried in the line. Some (or better said, many) rude people tried queue jumping and the cast members tried to rebuke them, but they were a little bit overburdened because in every moment, even more people came and queue jumped. Why do some people don't understand simple rules? However, it was my time and as long as I could see Aladdin and Jasmine, I was happy. I've never met a prince before and it was such a great honor to meet my second favourite prince, Aladdin. He and Jasmine were the cutest couple! They were so nice to me, we talked about magic carpet rides and that we should do one together, how great Dschini was in Dreams last night and that he prepares himself for Mickey and the Magician at the moment, the other royal couples and so much more! Did you know that all the princesses and princes love to meet each other in Tiana's restaurant? They told me that she makes the best food in the world! Both made me compliments and Jasmine even blowed me a kiss. She was so pretty! We hugged each other, made cute photos and hold hands. As we said goodbye, Jasmine blew me a kiss. How cute is this, right?! I loved them! I had such a great time with them and the memories will stay in my heart forever. ♥ After the meet and greet, we went to see "Mickey and the Magician". It was a nice show but to be honest, I was expecting more since everyone said that it's the best show Disneyland Paris ever had. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed and liked it, but it didn't blow me over.
Then, we went to Ratatouille, my favourite ride in the Studios. The waiting time for the single ride line was only 15 minutes, while the normal line had 55 minutes - it's obvious which line we took. Ratatouille is one of my favourite pixar movies, together with Toy Story and Merida. The ride is great and the best moment is when you get water splashes after they open the bottle of champagner. After Ratatouille, we did the Studio Tram Tour for the first time and I DID NOT expect the part with the waterfall and the fire. Oh my, that was amazing! We thought that the Tram Tour would be something like the Railroad in the Disneyland Park, a slow and relaxing ride through the park. We were quite impressed! Then we went in a shop. The day before we went to Disney Fashion and they had a Tinkerbell leather jacket. I loved it but a) they didn't have my size and b) it was too expensive for me. So when we went in the shop, my dad disappeared. I looked at the pins, my mum looked at the mugs. Then, my dad came back with a huge smile on his face and the Tinkerbell jacket in my size. He wanted me to try it on and when he saw that it fitted me, he told me to take it off and disappeared once more. He bought it for me! I was so gratefull and happy because I would have never bought it myself. Thank you, dad! ♥ By the way, my parents and me have annual passports so we get -20% off in all the stores. It was about 5 PM when we got hungry. My favourite restaurant is Annette's Diner and that was also the restaurant we went to eat. I love their burgers and as an annual passport holder, you get a cocktail for free. My mum and me got cheeseburgers with fries, my dad ordered a fish burger with salad. They make the best buns I know, I love Annette's sauce and the patties are always so soft! Unfortunately, we don't have such a good burger house here in my city. My father is an expert when it comes to fish and he also loved his burger! By the way, the salad was very huge. I'm not into vegetables at all, so I'll always have fries with my food. We didn't have a dessert since we were really full after the burgers. Thanks to my annual passport, I had a 10% discount and after we payed, we went to some shops and spend the evening in the village before we took the shuttle back to the hotel.

Quote of the day: "A whole new world, a new fantastic point of view!
No one to tell us no or where to go or say we're only dreaming."

Magic everywhere ✨ Day 3

Our third day in the parks started at 8 AM and the first thing I had to do was clearing up a problem with my photopass+ because it didn't show me the pictures from the day before. It turned out that they had a problem with their servers slowing the ascent of the pictures on the photopass. However, the problem was resolved soon so we went to Buzz Lightyear Laster Blast. The waiting time this morning were really short, so we only had to wait five minutes. After Buzz, he headed over to the Princess Pavilion and queued for Snow White. We had a great conversation about the dwarfs and their household. She told me that she still visits them sometimes to show them how to clean their house properly. I asked her whether she still likes to eat apples despite what happened to her. She answered yes, but instead of red apples, she only trusts the green ones. Furthermore, she prefers to use them for her pies rather than eating them normally. After some talk, we took some pictures and hugged each other goodbye. I don't think there is a better way to start a perfect morning than with a princess hug. After the pavilion, we went for an ice cream to Fantasia Gelati.
I'm not really into ice cream, but they have italian twirled ice cream in vanilla/chocolate flavour which is my favourite ice cream ever! Because we wanted to watch Disney Dreams! this night, we decided to go to some shops and after that, back to the hotel to rest a little bit. I got myself a buddy I've been wanting for two years - a giant Stitch! He is so cute, fluffy and sooo big! No regrets. Back in the hotel, I took a nap and we packed my backpack with some hoodies for the night. At 3:30 PM, we went back to the park to watch the parade. Before our trip, I watched many Disneyland Paris Vlogs on Youtube so I found the perfect and not too crowded place for the parade: between the castle and the restaurant Bella Notte. It was great! Not too many people and we were protected from the sunlight.
An awesome cast member came to us and we talked a little bit. Overall, many cast members noticed my lanyard and my pins and it's obvious that I love the princesses. When the parade cast member asked me where we are from and I told him that we're from Germany, he made us laugh with the only german phrase he knew: Ich bin betrunken (I'm drunk). The day before, one cast member said to us: Ich bin eine große Kartoffel (I'm a huge potatoe). When I told the parade cast member about it, he wanted to learn that phrase too. We laughed so much and after all it's the cast members who bring the magic to our lives. I love talking to them even tough I'm very shy in the "real life". My parents noticed that Disneyland has a very positive effect on me because I'm coming out of my shell. Normally, I already have problems to ask employees in a grocery store for a thing I'm searching but in Disneyland, I talk to so many people: the cast members, the fur and face characters and sometimes even guests! It's amazing! I wish the magic would come with me everywhere I go. Enough of that, let's talk about the parade!
I was a little bit confused because I remembered that it always started at 5 PM but this time, it started at 5:30 PM, which was fine too. As I said before, we stood between the castle and Bella Notte and I have to admit, I had the best character interaction of my life. I think the characters notice you much more because there aren't as many people as on Main Street.  I love the parade. There are so many princesses and even Mary Poppins. My favourite float is the Frozen/Tangled one. This time, something wonderful happened. As the Tangled Float came closer, I've send him a heart gesture with my hands. He saw me and REPLIED to it! Oh my, my heart melted! My Disney crush finally noticed me! The rest of the parade was as magical as usual. After it, I was very hungry and always wanted to try the restaurant Hakuna Matata. When we arrived in the restaurant, it was empty. I ordered the Hakuna fries and the chicken pieces and loved them! The fries were crispy and the chicken pieces were very soft. Gonna eat them there again!
Then I checked the waiting time for Phantom Manor, one of my favourite rides, and as it was only five minutes, we went there and rode it. The cast member inside was really good in his role. When you go into the elevator, everything is dark and there are no lights allowed. I've seen some people in the park who played PokemonGo and the cast member said that there are no pokemons inside. Everyone laughed.

Before our trip, I looked up the story behind Phantom Manor and told it my parents. With the knowledge, I looked completely different at the ride than before and it was even more exciting. If you want to know more about it, check out the Phantom Manor story in the Disney Wiki. It was already 9 PM when we sat down on a bench to wait for Dreams. In Disneyland, the time always passes by so fast, that's unbelieveable. While we waited, Anna and Elsa had their royal welcome and we watched the Main Street lighten up. It always reminds me of Christmas, such a wonderful view.
There weren't as many people as last year when we watched Dreams which was quite nice. So the time went by and we waited patiently for the words: "And now, Disney Dreams!". These four words always give me goose bumps. If someone asks me what the most emotional moment was, then it's definitely Dreams. This show destroys me emotionally EVERY TIME. I cried so much that someone even thought I hurted myself. I'm a huge crybaby, I know, but know what? I don't care. The beginning scene with a "second star to the right" hit me right in my heart. I sang along with all my soul and when the Tangled scene came, I was done.

I think that there is nothing more beautiful and wonderful on this whole wide world than this scene. The lanterns on the castle are so magical and Flynn and Rapunzel in the boat.. No words can describe this. And even right now while I'm writing it, tears drop down my cheeks. By the way, I know that there are some videos of Dreams on Youtube but in my view, you can't catch the feelings with a camera. You have to see it live. My parents know how Dreams make me feel and that's why we waited some minutes until I calmed down. We went back to the Disney Village parking lot and drove back to the hotel. We talked about our day and went to bed at 1 AM.

Magic everywhere ✨ Day 1 and 2

Today I'd like to tell you more about my recent trip to Disneyland Resort Paris, the happiest place on earth.

I've been there with my parents and we planned this trip about half a year ago. Since we bought annual passports last year, it would have been a waste if we hadn't made this trip. Unfortunately, the passes will expire on 4th August. However, on our next trip, we'll get new ones!

On the 18th July, our journey started. Early in the morning, at 6 AM, we left the house. Luckily, there were no traffic jams and no other problems on the highway so we arrived in our hotel, Hipark Résidence Serris Val d'Europe, at about 12 AM. Normally, you're allowed to check-in at 3 PM but we asked our travel agency for the early check-in service so that we were able to go in our room straight away. We booked a suite which has a bedroom, a living room, a kitchenette, a toilette and a bathroom. It was our third time in the hotel and we love it! You can walk to the parks in 15 minutes, next to the hotel, there is a bakery and nearby there is a huge mall with a grocery store. My mother and me decided to not to go to the Disneyland Park, but to the Disney Village while my father stayed in the hotel to rest a little bit. We strolled through the stores, went to Starbucks, watched the PanoraMagique balloon go up and shopped some pins for my lanyard. I'm still new into pin trading but I really enjoy it! After a few hours, we called my father to pick us up and go to the grocery store Auchan. I bought myself a huge glass of Nutella, Frozen biscuits, Frozen tissues, french pastry and the cutest thing ever - honey in a bear pot! After we finished our purchases, we went back to the hotel to make preparations for the next day. We wanted to leave the hotel as early as possible to enjoy the Extra Magic Hours (EMH). For those of you who don't know what the EMH are: The park opens at 10 AM for the public but for people who stay in a Disney Hotel or who are owners of annual passports, Disneyland open it's gates at 8 AM.

So the next morning, we woke up at 6 AM and got ready so we could go to the parks directly after the breakfast. By the way, the breakfast in the Hipark Hotel is great! They have the best brownies on earth. However after the breakfast, we took our bags and backpacks and headed to the Disneyland Park. As always, the first moment when I saw the castle was so emotinal and everything was just perfect! The weather was fantastic. The sky was blue and there were no clouds. The first thing we did was going to the princess pavilion to see which princess will be there. When I saw the names of the princesses, I couldn't belive it. I've been checking Twitter every day since the new system at the pavilion has been installed and lost the hope to meet my favorite princess but there it was: Rapunzel would be in the pavilion from 4.30 PM to 7 PM. My eyes were wet and I couldn't breath properly (I have asthma, so yeah) and you can't imagine how much this meant to me. The first day at the park and I was already able to see her! The other princess in the pavilion was Belle. I already met her last year so we decided to do some rides (it was about 9 AM so there was enough time). We went to my favorite ride Peter Pan's flight, then Pirates of the Caribbean, watched the Frozen Sing Along Show, then we went in the castle and decided to go to the hotel to change clothes. It was really hot in the morning and I wanted to look pretty for Rapunzel so I took a shower and we went back to the park. As usually, there was a long wait in the pavilion and I think we waited about 90 minutes, even though it said 75 minutes. My parents and me didn't care and waited patiently. As we got closer and closer, my heart started pounding and it felt like I was dying out of excitement! Then, the cast member came and took us with him. Words can't describe how happy I was.

There she was, shining like the most wonderful star in the whole night sky. It was crystal clear, I was where I'm meant to be. I hugged her with all my heart and soul. I told her that it was my dream to meet her and she is so happy to see me too and that now it's time for a new dream. We talked about her hair, I asked her if there is still magic in it but she told me that actually there isn't, she just woke up some day, looked in the mirror and noticed that her hairline was blonde again. It grew very fast but it isn't as long as it was before. I told her that I love her braid and asked if the children still do it. She affirmed it but added that they she still have to brush and brush and brush her hair so it doesn't get tangled. Her daily routine is still the same - she wakes up at 7 AM, starts on the chores and sweep 'til the floor's all clean, then reads a book or maybe two or three, adds a a few new paintings to the castle's gallery, plays guitar and knit, and cook and even more. I asked her how Flynn, Pascal and Maximus are doing - she told me that Eugene was in the Snuggly Duckling with Prince Eric and Prince Phillip. I was a astonished because I always thought Aladdin and Flynn would be best buddies because of their past as thieves. Rapunzel said that she tries to keep them apart because always when they meet, there is kind of a competiton between them. We laughed and I asked which name Flynn prefers now. The answer was simple: When he's out with Rapunzel, he has to call himself Eugene and that's also the name Rapunzel prefers but when he's out alone, he still calls himself Flynn Rider. By the way, Flynn is also the name I prefer. We talked even more and it was the best Meet and Greet experience I ever had! We made cute photos, did the Smolder together, hugged each other, did the typical Rapunzel pose and I told her how much I love her. She was so nice and I didn't want to leave her but a proverb says "Always leave them wanting more". I will keep these memories forever in my heart and they mean the world to me. Thank you so much, Rapunzel, I love you! When we left the pavilion, my parents told me that we were talking so long that the cast members got already nervous because normally, you have about two until three minutes with the characters and then the characters themselves try to make photos with you and end the conversation. Rapunzel didn't. And the photographer was so cool, too! He took many pictures and even spoke German (my parents only speak German and Polish so it was quite nice!).

After the pavilion, I was so happy that some tears dropped down my face. I couldn't stop smiling the rest of the day and even tough we rode It's a small world for the first time, I wasn't able to concentrate on the ride and only thought of Rapunzel. This was really the best day of my life.
After all, we spend the evening eating the pineapple whip, wandering through the park, going to some shops and going back to the hotel. It was a wonderful first day at the park!

I hope you enjoyed reading about the first two days of our journey. We've been in Disneyland from the 18th to the 24th July and the next travelogue will follow soon.

The Disneyland Paris Tag

Bonjour les amis,

Last week, I had the most magical and happiest time of my life in Disneyland Paris. In the following days and weeks, I'll tell you more about it and show you some photos, too.
Today I'll start with something I wanted to do for a long time: The Disneyland Paris Tag! I found it on Silvia Snow's channel on Youtube and you should definetly check it out. So let's get started!

1. When was your first trip and how many times have you been?
The first time I went to Disneyland Paris was in 2010 and since then, I've been there for four times.

2. What Disney Hotels have you stayed in? One you haven't stayed in that you'd liked too?
I'm not quite sure if it counts, but I stayed in the Radisson Blu Hotel. I haven't stayed in a "real" Disney Hotel yet because we really like the Hipark Hotel near to Disneyland. My dream hotel is the Disneyland Hotel, obviously. But I'd also love to stay in the Newport Bay Club.

3. What is your favourite restaurant?
Annette's Diner! I love their food.

4. A restaurant you'd like to eat in that you haven't yet?
I'd love to eat in Inventions and L'Auberge de Cendrillon. The only problem is that I don't like the food on the menu of the Auberge.. But it's a princess dinner and I LOVE all the princesses so I have to eat there some day.

5. Your favourite quick service/fast food?
Hmm..  Probably Hakuna Matata.

6. What is your favourite shop?
That's a hard question! I love all the shops, each one is magical in it's own way. My favourites are World of Disney, La Boutique du Château, Harrington's, Emporium and Disney Fashion.

7. Your favourite season or event?
I can't decide between Christmas and Summer. Christmas is my favourite time of the year and Disney is passion, so both together are perfect, but in summer it's warm and I can wear my pretty dresses and the sky is blue which looks great on photos and you know... I really can't decide.

8. Disneyland Paris or Walt Disney Studios?
The Disneyland Park. I'm not into roller coasters so the only ride I can do at the Studios is Ratatouille.

9. Your favourite ride in each park?
Disneyland Park: Does the Princess Pavilion count as a ride..? No..? Then it's Peter Pan's Flight!

Walt Disney Studios: Ratatouille

10. Your favourite land in the Disneyland Park?

11. Your favourite character meet?
 All the Princesses.

12. Your best character meet and greet experience?
I will tell you more about it in the following posts, but the best character meet and greet experience I ever had was when my dream of meeting Rapunzel came true after so many years. I was the Best Day Ever!

13. Your happiest or best Disneyland Paris memory?
Oh my, I have so many! But as you might guess from the question before, my best Disneyland Paris memory is when I met Rapunzel. And Dreams. Dreams never fails to make me cry like a newborn.

That's it! I hoped you enjoyed reading my answers to the blog and I'd love to read some of your answers. Let the magic shine and 'til next time.
