We are the Crystal Gems ☆

Sorry for being inactive lately but I didn't feel like blogging at all. However, I already announced it so today I'm going to talk about my other favourite cartoon, Steven Universe!
For those of you who never heard of it before, Steven Universe is an American animated television series created by the talented Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network. It's basically about a boy named Steven Universe who lives together with the Crystal Gems - Garnet, Pearl and Amethyst. Steven himself is a Crystal Gem as well as his mother, Rose Quartz, gave up her physical form to give birth to Steven. Together, the Crystal Gems protect the world from their own kind.

The first time I heard of the cartoon was in January while browsing through Noodlerella's videos. I saw her cover of "Do it for her / him" and was deeply touched so I decided to give the cartoon a try as I usually have the same taste in shows as her. Thank you Connie, you never fail to meet my taste! So I started watching the series and got addicted after the first three episodes. As I had to learn for my final exams, I always watched the episodes while I took a break. They helped me to calm down and relax. So yeah, what can I say? In every free minute, I would sit in front of the screen and watch Steven Universe. It was wonderful.

I really, really love the characters and to be honest, I don't actually have a favourite character. Crazy, right? I love Steven, he wants everyone to be happy and cares for every creature, no matter how he or she looks like or what other people think. Then there are the Crystal Gems: Garnet, the permanent fusion and cool leader - Pearl, the perfectionist and caring mother figure and Amethyst, the fun-loving and carefree "bro". I even fell in love with the secondary characters! Steven father's Greg Universe, who loves his son with all his heart - Connie, Steven's best friend and Peridot, the childish, self-absorbed and dorky gem.
(If you want to learn more about the characters, click on the names, I linked them to the Steven Universe wiki!)

Another thing I love about this show is the music! As I said in my Adventure Time post, I adore Rebecca Sugar's music. Her lyrics are touching but also catchy. Once you hear them, you will never forget them (at least that's in my case). She has the talent to write short songs, but puts so many emotions inside them, it's incredible! Thanks God, her talent is endless. Every song is getting better and better and I can't wait for the next one!

Here's a list of my favourite songs (I linked them):

Peace and Love (On Planet Earth)
Here Comes a Thought
Do It For Her/Him
Stronger Than You
Full Disclosure
It's Over, Isn't It?
Giant Woman
Strong In the Real Way
Love Like You / Love Me Like You
Something Entirely New

Bonus: Haven't You Noticed (I'm a Star) - Olivia Olson, the voice actress of Marceline, sings this song.

There are many aspects that I truly love about this show - the unique plot, the lovely characters, the wonderful music...But there is one point that is very important about this show. Steven Universe has LGBT characters in the show and I LOVE how they don't make a big deal out of it. They are just there and it's obvious that they are, just like it's obvious heterosexual couples exist.
"According to Rebecca Sugar, her series' LGBT representation is not intended to make a point, but to help all children understand themselves and develop their identity. In her view, queer youth deserve to see themselves in stories just as much as other children—and, given pervasive heteronormativity, not allowing them to do so can be harmful. Moreover, Sugar said, LGBT children also deserve to see the prospect of love for themselves in the characters they identify with."
There are also some countries that censor the scenes, including the UK and Germany. This behaviour is disgusting and I have nothing more to say about that.

Well, however, that's it for today! I hope you enjoyed reading this post. 'Til next time!

Quote of the Day: "I guess we're already here, I guess we already know. We've all got something to fear, we've all got nowhere to go. I think you're all INSANE! But I guess I am too... Anybody would be If they were stuck on Earth with you!" -Peridot

Adventure Time

I've always been into animated series, no matter if it was Spongebob Squarepants, the Weekenders or the Powerpuff Girls. Watching animes or animated series has always been my thing. However this changed as I grew older and lost interest in cartoons. I had a long pause until 2013, when my parents got Pay-TV for us. As stupid as this might sound, but Pay-TV changed my life. I started watching so many awesome television shows, including Doctor Who, Law & Order, CSI, etc., which turned my life upside down. But today, I'd like to talk about my one of my favourite cartoons: Adventure Time.

Back in 2013, as I zapped through all of our new programs, I was surprised to find Cartoon Network. When I was little, we used to spent our holidays in Poland where my brother and me liked watching this channel. So, I decided to give it a try and Adventure Time was airing. As I saw the Land of Ooo, I knew that this show would be perfect for me. The Candy Kingdom looked as I always imagined my land of dreams, everything is cute and in pastel pink. Yes, I'm simple, I know. However I don't remember which episode it was, but I fell in love with it immediately and watched it every night. At that time, I used to go to sleep around 11 PM and Adventure Time aired at 10.30 PM so basically, the episodes were my bedtime stories. The characters of this show are all so lovely and unique in their own way. I learnt to love each of them and found my favourite in Marceline, the Vampire Queen. I have no idea why but I was always fascinated by vampires, even though I can't stand the sight of blood. Ironic, huh? Marceline is, together with the Ice King, the most profound character. The backstory they're sharing makes me tear up every single time (crybabies don't care, just saying).
I think that Adventure Time is nothing for children, to be honest. Some episodes are very creepy and the story behind everything is very complicated, even for me. For sure there are some episodes which are suitable for children as well but I think that they would not really understand it. That's my opinion, I'm not saying that anyone has to agree with me. Let's come back to the show itself. The more serious episodes are my favourites, especially "Simon and Marcy", "I remember you" and the mini-series "Stakes". The last one made me love Marceline even more than I already did. She is an incredible character and I love her singing. Olivia Olson, her voice actress, has one of the most wonderful voices in the world and when the song "Everything stays" came out, I used to listen to the 3 hours version on Youtube everyday for months. My mum and my brother also watch Adventure Time with me and just as me, they like Marceline most. I remember when they announced that they will show Stakes on Cartoon Network, I was so excited, even tough I've already seen it on the Internet. It was on Easter when they aired it and my mum and me woke up at 8 AM to watch the Marceline special. It's touching no matter how often I watch it.
Adventure Time even made me ship characters, something I never did before. Yesterday I thought about it because I though it would have been Love Live that made me a shipper but Marceline and Princess Bubblegum were the first. Well, what can I say? After the episode "What was missing?", it was obvious that Marcy and PB were dating but then Olivia approved it (and took it back - I ignore that) but however, for me it's canon. After I watched Stakes, it was even more obvious, but I don't want to spoiler anything. Bubbline for the win.~

A huge part of the show are their songs. The very talented Rebecca Sugar, former writer and storyboard artist for Adventure Time and best known for creating Steven Universe (my favourite cartoon next to Adventure Time), wrote the BEST SONGS EVER (7 out of 10 in my list) for Adventure Time. She is the most talented songwriter I know and it's no wonder that all her songs are  simply stunning. I'm sad that she left the show but we still have Steven Universe, so that's okay. If you'd like to know my favourite songs, then have a look at my top 10. I'll link them as well.

1. Everything stays (Marceline)
2. Nuts / Remember you (Marceline/Ice King)
3. Francis Forever (Marceline)
4. I'm just your problem (Marceline)
5. What am I to you? (Finn, Marceline, PB, Jake, BMO)
6. Stakes (Intro) (Marceline)
7. All gummed up inside (Finn)
8. Where everybody knows your name (Simon/Ice King)
9. Happy Ending Song (Marceline)
10. Bacon Pancakes (Jake)

Some time ago, Dr. Martens, my favourite shoe brand, had a collaboration with Adventure Time, which is one of the best thing that could have ever happened. My parents got me one pair of the Marceline ones and I couldn't be happier. Normally, it takes so much time to break Dr. Martens in, but they are just comfy.

They are so cute, aren't they? I can't wait for autumn to arrive so I can wear them again. ♥ Next time, I'll tell you more about my other favourite animated series, Steven Universe. Stay tuned!

Disneyland Paris 25th Anniversary

As most of you might know, next year in April Disneyland Paris (and my dear friend Rebecca from xKOTONEx) is turning 25! Wow, times flies by so fast. I have some wishes for the big spectacle, so let's talk about them!

Disney's Once Upon a Dream Parade was the first parade I've ever seen. However, Disney's Magic on Parade is the one that I love most. It contains princesses, Mary Poppins, Peter Pan and so much more! That's why I'm looking at the upcoming parade with mixed feelings, but well, it's time for a change.

My most important wish is that Rapunzel and Flynn Rider will be in the parade. Unfortunately, they don't have their own meet and greet point in the park and it's very rare to see both of them. I would be more than disappointed if they wouldn't be in the parade. Next, I hope that there will be a float with all the princesses and princes. I know it's unrealistic, but no one can stop me from dreaming.
Then, of course, a Frozen float. I wish that there would be Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf and Hans, even though I don't like him but he is part of the Frozen crew. Another wish I have is that Mary Poppins and Bert will stay in the parade. In my view, they should just keep the float with Mary Poppins and Peter Pan because it's perfect and represents England. I want her to have a float because she always reminds me of Walt.
Furthermore, I wish that there will be a float with the characters from Lilo & Stitch, Ratatouille and Zootopia, just because I love the movies.

Another important factor for the parades is the music. My favourite parade song is Dancin' A Catchy Rhythm from The Wonderful World of Disney Parade. I know that they won't take this song again but I hope that the new song will be catchy, cheerful and typical for Disneyland Paris.

Disney Dreams
As most of you know, Disney Dreams is one of my biggest highlights when I'm there. I think it's the best show on Earth and no, I'm not exaggerating. It's just my opinion. As I've read on several websites, Disney is planning to do a new show and I'm really disappointed about that. I don't want to spoiler anyone but it seems like my favourite scenes will disappear. However, I won't write anything about the rumours that I've read, instead I'll tell you more about my hopes and wishes.
So, first of all, I hope that the new show will be just as emotional and touching as Dreams. You can always see if I like a show when I start crying, haha. The most important thing is an interplay of the plot, the music, the scenes and the realisation overall. I hope this doesn't sound confusing.
As always, I hope that there will be a Tangled scene, because if there is Rapunzel, nothing can go wrong. My biggest fear (and unfortunately, I think it will be the case) is that there will be Star Wars in the show. Sorry guys but I will never accept Star Wars as Disney.
All in all, my hopes for the new show aren't too high and I think it won't be as good as the old one, even though I still wish that a miracle will happen.

I think I don't have to mention how much I love the princesses, but I do it anyway. Meeting your favourite princess is the BEST thing you can do when you're there. My favourite meet and greet place is the Princess Pavilion. They introduced a new system back in June, where you can see on a board which princess will be inside the pavilion during the opening hours. On my last trip in July, I was worried because Rapunzel hasn't been there since the new system was introduced but I was the luckiest and happiest girl alive when I saw her name on the board. Since then, Rapunzel hasn't been in the pavilion anymore. No other princess than Ariel, Snow White and Aurora have been in the pavilion since then, to be exact. At the moment, the opening hours from the pavilion are from 10 AM to 3 PM and instead of two princesses, there is only one princess per day, which is a huge worsening, if you ask me. There were some weeks, where only Snow White was inside. This is very disappointing for a princess fanatic like me. The Princess Pavilion means so much to me since it's the only place in the park where you can meet princesses and get high-quality pictures , because there is always a PhotoPass photographer. This is very important to me because I can't afford a reflex camera.
So I have some wishes for the future. I hope that they will improve the pavilion by making a schedule, where the princesses change daily (two per day). I also want the old opening hours back because 5 hours is way too short. Another wish I have is that Jasmine should be included in the pavilion. She is a princess, just like all the others as well and there is even the palace and the magic lamp in the hallway. It's not understandable for me why you can't meet her inside.
All in all, I'm hoping for a big improvement when it comes to the princess meet and greets, which leads me to another point. I wish that there was a place where you could meet the princesses together with their princes (a normal place, not a restaurant). It is my biggest dream to meet Rapunzel and Flynn Rider together and I'd love to meet the other princes as well.

Talking about princesses, I wish that Disneyland Paris won't get the new costumes because I'm nauseated by them. I hate, hate, hate Jasmines new outfit and all in all, the new outfits don't even look like the characters anymore. I didn't like Mulan's and Pocahontas' new outfits either, but Jasmine's is the worst. I can't say it often enough how much I hate it. It's ugly and I keep asking myself what's going wrong with the costumes designers. So let's hope it won't happen.

Another wish I have is that there will be more characters around the park all day long. Disneyland Paris approved very much when it comes to this topic already but I hope that you can find the characters longer than just for a few minutes. For example, if you're waiting in a queue for a ride in  Frontierland and you see online that there is a character out you're dying to see in Fantasyland, it takes time until you get there and if you're as unlucky as me, the characters are already gone. I just wish that you could meet the characters that are out longer than just approximately half an hour.

Unfortunately, my annual passport expired in August which means I have to get a new one next time when I'm there. I've heard that they want to raise the prices of the annual passport drastically. I'm praying to god that they won't do this until I've got a new one.

Other wishes
An absolute no-no would be if they took shows from another resort. Every Disney Resort should have it's own music, parade and shows. I don't go to Disneyland Paris to see a show from Shanghai, I don't go to Shanghai to see a show from Tokyo, etc. Each Disneyland should be unique and beautiful in its own way.

I can't wait for Disneyland to shine in new splendour in April and see how many of my wishes come true. Even though I'm sure that most of my wishes won't, I'm still more than excited what Disneyland has in petto.

My favourite anime openings ♥

Ever since I can remember, anime was a part of my life and it still is. As a little child, my uncle and my brother would watch them with me and we played the scenes. Back then in Germany, animes aired on many TV channels and all of them had a German dub. One of the things I always enjoyed were the openings. To this day, I believe you can tell if the anime is good by the opening. At least that's my experience. Today, I'd like to show you my 10 favourite openings. Actually, they aren't in a specific order or anything, I just really like them all.

The Vision of Escaflowne

The Vision of Escaflowne was one of my favourite animes when I was a child. The opening is awesome and the song fits perfectly to it. However the German version is so much better than the Japanese one! Still one of the best openings ever made.

Paradise Kiss

Tommy february6 was my favourite singer for a long time thanks to this opening. I still love it and the song represents the atmosphere of the anime perfectly. I think it was also the first Japanese song I knew by heart. I like to call the time I watched Paradise Kiss my "Poupée Girl" period because I was really interested in fashion and played ameba's Poupée Girl daily until they shut it down. I still miss it and next to LL!SIF, it was the best game I ever played. RIP.

Ore no Imōto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai

Before Love Live came into my life, Oreimo was my favourite anime and ClariS was my favourite girl group. A few years ago, I had an accident and couldn't move for a few days and I watched both seasons non-stop. I guess Oreimo was my medicine because I forgot the pain while watching it. However, it's my second favourite anime.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica

It's ClariS. No further information is needed. But I wish the anime was more like the opening.

Love Live! School Idol Project

Everyone knew that Love Live won't be missed in this list, right? Everyone knows how deep my love for this anime is and even my friends who don't know anything about animes know that Nozomi is my waifu. I re-watched it many times and I never skip the opening. It's the CUTEST thing ever! Just look at all the precious girls, singing and dancing in frilly outfits. How could someone not love them? If you haven't watched the anime yet, go and do it, you won't regret it!

Kimi ni Todoke

If you like shoujo animes, then you will love Kimi ni Todoke. It's funny, cute, innocent and romantic. The perfect mixture. Even my brother, who doesn't like shoujo or girly things at all, loves it.
The opening is super cute and I think the song is very soothing. It makes you want to relax, drink a tea and watch the anime.

Ore Monogatari!! (My Love Story!!)

I started the anime because I thought it would be similar to Kimi ni Todoke. It's not but I was not disappointed. You can describe it like Kimi ni Toke: funny, cute, innocent and romantic - but it's completely different though. Still hoping for a second season!
The opening song reminds me of MAY'S and it's really according to me taste. It's just so funny when Takeo pulls a face, if you ask me.

Himouto! Umaru-chan

I talked with my family and we all agree that this opening is basically about me. Indoor Umaru is me. Ok.

Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne

As a child, Jeanne or Marron was my idol. In my view, Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne is still Arina Tanemura's best work. As most of the animes I watched as I child, I prefer the German version over the Japanese. It just sounds kinda false to me if it's not the German singer. He has this wonderful accent (or accentuation?) when he says some words, for example "geheimnisvoll". Does anyone of you know the cartoon Miraculous Ladybug? I watched a few episodes and the plot is very similar, I think.

Dragonball Z

Aaaah, the feels. When I was little, Dragonball Z aired on RTL2 at 8.15 PM and you could find my brother and me in front of the TV, in our pyjamas, with brushed teeth, ready for bed just to be allowed to watch DBZ. It was our show. And Trunks was my first anime crush.
All the Dragonball openings were great but DBZ is my favourite. Just as in all my childhood animes, the German version wins the price.

There are also other openings I really like that didn't appear in the list. If you'd like to check out some more, then have fun with X/1999 (I don't even remember the plot but the opening is amazing!), Ranma 1/2, Digimon, Pokémon 1-8, Shin Chan and Super Sonico.

I hope you liked my favourite anime openings and I'd love to know about yours! Have a magical day.~

Disney x Love Live ♫ 2nd years

I'm sorry for being inactive lately but I'll do my best to post more frequently in the future! But let's start with my Disney x Love Live comparison. Today, it's time for the 2nd years. I had a writer's block when it came to Kotori but I'm quite satisfied with the outcome.

Honoka Kousaka

If Honoka was a Disney character, she would be Anna from Frozen.
For me, it was obvious that Honoka would be Anna, I didn't even have to think about it. So let's get started! To support some of my arguments, I'll quote the Disney Wiki several times.
Let's start with their personalities. Anna is optimistic, energetic, awkward, and generally far from elegant. That sounds exactly like Honoka, doesn't it? Sometimes, there were flashbacks in the anime where you could see Honoka and her friends as children. Honoka was always the one who tried to convince the others to play with her and even do some crazy or better said dangerous things like climbing a brittle tree or jumping over a big puddle. So did Anna. She woke Elsa up in the middle of the night to build a snowman with her or play with Elsa's powers. Unfortunately, it didn't go well that one night when Elsa accidentally strikes Anna in the head with her magic. As Anna and Honoka became older, they kept their optimistic personalities. She is also free-spirited and garnered an extrovert mentality. When Honoka found out that Otonokizaka will close, she wanted to save her high school by becoming a school idol. When Elsa run away because she wasn't able to control her power anymore, Anna wanted to save her sister as well as Arendelle by bringing back the summer. Armed with only her fearlessness, a never-give-up attitude and her faith in others, Anna is determined to save both her kingdom and her family. Same goes for Honoka. Even though they had a long way to go, they never gave up and cared for their loved ones. She is always in a good mood and likes to look at the bright side of things. She is determined and once her mind is set on something, nothing can stop her. Anna is more daring than graceful and, at times, can act before she thinks. But she's also the most optimistic and caring person you'll ever meet. Furthermore, there's one important thing to say: Anna loves sandwiches. Honoka loves bread. No more arguments needed.
Bonus: I think that Eli's and Honoka's relationship is similar to the one Anna and Elsa have. Anna/Honoka is the one who looks up to Elsa/Eli and sometimes, Anna/Honoka don't understand why Elsa/Eli is acting in the way she does but there is always a reason for it (maybe even to protect her).

Kotori Minami

If Kotori was a Disney character, she would be Aurora from Sleeping Beauty.
Both are strongly nature-loving and have a affinity for birds. Kotori, more or less by a happy coincidence, means "bird" in English and one of her hobbies is bird watching. Aurora loves to spend time with her forest friends, including her sidekick the owl. Just like Aurora, Kotori is known to have her head in the clouds. They are both dreamers and you can say that they are just good from the start. Because Kotori and Aurora really care for their loved ones, they sometimes have hard times to express their feelings. They always take other people's feelings into consideration and don't want to hurt anyone. That's why they are neglectful of themselves. After Aurora met Prince Phillip without knowing he was a prince, she obeyed the fairies instead of doing what she really wants. Kotori was invited to study in a fashion boarding school for the rest of her high school career abroad. However she decided to stay for µ's sake. Aurora and Kotori are both very kind, pure and sometimes insecure and passive, since they normally don't decide important decisions on their own. But all in all, they just want to be happily ever after. Another point is their appearance. Their hairstyles are miracles. How do you style Kotori's bun or Aurora's bangs? I really don't know.

Umi Sonoda

If Umi was a Disney character, she would be Jasmine from Aladdin.
Umi and Jasmine are both independent, intellligent and strong young women with a strong will. They aren't afraid to speak their mind, even though people in their surroundings may don't want to hear the truth. When it comes to Umi, sometimes her honesty seem kind of harsh, especially when she tells Honoka that she'll gain weight if she doesn't stop eating bread. However she only does this because she cares for her and the other members of µ's. Jasmine is just as caring towards her kingdom. They would never hesitate to stand up for what's right in their view. That's also a reason why they have good leader qualities. Aladdin is for Jasmine just as Honoka is for Umi. Thanks to them, the two try new things they would have never though of before, for example becoming a school idol or going on a magic carpet ride. They have trust in the people they love but also have a heavy influence on them. Before Aladdin met Jasmine, he was a street rat and with the help of Jasmine, matured to a prince. Honoka was lazy, had no discipline and wasn't athletic at all, better said clumsy, but Umi helped her in many ways so she became one of the best school idols. And not to mention that she helped Honoka with her exams so she didn't fail and they were allowed to do the Love Live. Speaking about their physical strength, Jasmine and Umi are quite strong and athletic. Umi is also the physical trainer in µ's before Eli takes the role. They always think logically but sometimes, they can be fussy, opinionated and stubborn. But to be honest - we love the little flaws they have, don't we?

Disney x Love Live ♫ 3rd years

As some of you might know, my other addiction next to Disney is the game and anime Love Live! There are several animes that I really like but none of them will ever be as special to me as this one. Today I'd like to share with you something I've been thinking about for a few days: If the girls from Love Live were Disney princesses/heroines, who would they be? Let's start with the third years.

Nozomi Tojo

If Nozomi was a Disney princess, she would be Rapunzel from Tangled. Both had an isolated childhood and even though Nozomi wasn't locked up in a tower, she lived a lonely life. Because of her parents' work, they had to move quite often and so, little Nozomi wasn't able to socialise. Then, there is also the "parents factor". I'm sure that Nozomi's parents love her but they weren't there for her when she was a child and cared more about their careers instead of their own child. When she came home, nobody was there and that's why she had to learn everything by her own. Compared to Rapunzel, Mother Gothel didn't care about Rapunzel either and only kidnapped her because of her hair. I like to think that Gothel loved Rapunzel anyway but well, it's obvious she did not care about Rapunzel's dreams and behaved for her own benefits. However both, Rapunzel and Nozomi, had a dream and both achieved it with the help of others. Nozomi began to break out of her shell after meeting Eli and found a good friend in her. Rapunzel took the chance to see the lanterns when Flynn broke in the tower. She not only changed her own life, but also Flynn's. Same goes for Nozomi. She brought everyone in µ's together and made her wish come true.

That's why I think that Nozomi would be Rapunzel in the Disney universe. And did you know that Nozomi would love to be Rapunzel, too? In one of her side stories from the game, she said that living alone gave Rapunzel more focus and passion than anyone. It's so cute that she didn't realise she was talking about herself!

Eli Ayase

If Eli was a Disney character, she would be Queen Elsa from Frozen. Just as Elsa, Eli is very mature. There is also the physical aspect: Elsa and Eli are the most elegant characters in their franchises and they even have similarities such as their blonde hair and their image colour blue. In the first episodes of the anime, Eli seemed as cold as ice, almost insensitive. She tried everything to stop µ's without telling them any reasons and cut herself off from everyone but Nozomi. Eli's mother and grandmother were both ballet dancers. Eli wasn't as good as they were and was actually at the bottom of the list in ballet compared to the other dancers and could hardly pass the auditions.Due to her constant failures, she gave up her dream of becoming a ballet dancer and gradually tried to close her heart and distance herself from her dream to shine and dance again. Elsa always loved to play with her sister Anna before she accidental hurt her with her powers. Since that day, she tried to conceal her powers but wasn't able to control them. To protect the ones she loved, she shut everyone out without letting anyone know why. Then her parents died. Just as Eli, Elsa is too demanding to herself. She knew that she would have to become the queen of Arendelle someday and this was another factor which made her self-doubts even worse. Eli's grandmother and mother both went to Otonokizaka and that's why Eli felt in honour bound to save the school, which gave herself extra stress. Her methods to save the school didn't work and that made her angry. You can say that the Otonokizaka is Eli's Arendelle. Coming back to Elsa: on the coronation day, Elsa and Anna met after many years but just like Eli, Elsa seemed as cold as ice after Anna announced her engagement with Hans. Elsa and Eli both distanced themselves from others in the past years. For Elsa, everything changed when she learnt to control her powers with the help of love. Once Eli joined love, she made the same change. Eli summoned up courage and strength to make her dream come true. And with the help of Anna and Nozomi, Elsa and Eli can finally shine again.

Nico Yazawa

If Nico was a Disney heroine, she would be Wendy Darling from Peter Pan.
First of all, Wendy and Nico both have a passion for something. Wendy loves to tell her brothers stories about Peter Pan and his adventures. Nico is obsessed with idols and spends a lot of her free time on the Internet to learn more about them. I'm sure that if Wendy lived in Nico's generation, she would also spend her time on the Internet, being the admin of a Peter Pan fan club or forum. She would have written fanfictions and drawing fanart of her hero. Nico and Wendy both have siblings who are fascinated by their stories. Being the oldest, Wendy and Nico serve as a heavy influence on them, specifically in regards to their love of Peter Pan and idols. Nico's siblings admire her and want to do everything to support her as an idol. Wendy's brothers love to listen to her stories and even play parts of them. Furthermore both are very caring when it comes to their siblings and try everything to protect and make them happy. Even though their passions seem unconventional and childish, their mothers support and even believe in them. Both know that they can count on their families. Unfortunately, Nico and Wendy have really bad luck. Nico likes to set herself up as the number one idol of the world but always when she tries to show other people how cute and "idolish" she is, something bad happens. When Wendy went to Neverland, the place of her dreams, she was shot by the Lost Boys, almost drowned by mermaids and treated unfairly by the Indians. All in all, Nico and Wendy seem childish on the first regard but if you dig a little deeper, you see that they are just trying to give their best.

Magic everywhere ✨ Day 6

When I woke up this morning, I was kind of sad because I knew that that would be the last day in the parks. I was looking forward to this trip for half a year, counted all the days and suddenly, it came to an end. Time goes by so fast in Disneyland. However, there was no time to worry anymore because we wanted to enjoy our last day. The whether forecast said it wouldn't be warm today but I didn't care. I wore a dress, a little jacket and my Dr. Martens. We also took an umbrella with us for the worst case. After breakfast, we went to the shuttle and realised that the sun was burning hot on our skins. All the rain from last night dried and the sun was shining. As we arrived in the parks, we headed to the Princess Pavilion but Ariel and Snow White were inside and I already met them the days before so I decided to not go inside. My father wanted to ride a roller coaster at least once during our trip, so we went to Indiana Jones. The waiting time was only 15 minutes and my dad went inside. My mum and me waited there for him because we aren't into roller coasters.
He enjoyed the ride and we went ahead to Hakuna Matata, where Chip and Dale had their meet and greet. The line was very short and I didn't wait longer than 15 minutes, which is very short for a character meet. Chip and Dale were so funny! At first, Chip hugged me and wanted me to twirl way too long, Dale became jealous and tried to pull me away from Chip to dance with me. It was so cute! Then they slapped each other and returned back to me. They counted the pins on my lanyard and were astonished because I had ten on it. Then, Dale tried to take me away from Chip so we could have privacy. Chip was not amused and wanted to attract my attention by making heart gestures with his hands to show me that he loves me more. I was laughing so much! I told them I love them both and then we had a big group hug! I wish there was a photopass photographer because our camera isn't the best one.. Well, the memories matter! We took some photos and when I wanted to leave, they didn't want me to leave them. As I went out, they blew me air kisses. Cute, right? I wanted to meet Donald Duck and was glad that he had his own meet and greet point the whole day at Casey's Corner.
It was so hot and I forgot the sun cream in the hotel so while waiting, I got a sunburn. Great. However, meeting Donald was worth it! He welcomed me with a big hug and I asked him how he and Daisy are doing. He showed that they are fine and noticed my lanyard. What can I say? I got into trouble because I didn't have a pin of him on it. Honestly, I've seen so many Mickey and Minnie pins in the shops, but there is such a tiny selection of Donald ones. My poor favourite duck. I promised him that I'll get one soon and he was happy again. Then, I told him that he should take care of his popcorn because Chip and Dale look hungry and we all know that they will steal his popcorn if Donald doesn't keep an eye on it. Donald shook his head vigorously and showed me how exhausted he was because of them. I told him not to worry and then I told him that I always loved him more than Mickey, but he shouldn't tell him. He was so happy that he started dancing with me and even gave me kisses (with actual kiss noises)! I kissed him back and he started dancing again. He is the cutest duck on earth! We took photos and hugged each
other goodbye. Just like Chip and Dale, Donald didn't want me to leave and blew kisses as I went back. I think after the princesses, I enjoy meeting Donald the most. We're always having so much fun together! After Donald, my parents and me took some pictures in front of the castle and we went back to Frontierland to see the Frozen Sing Along. We love this show and it's really a "Frozen Summer Fun". It was the second time we saw it. After singing our hearts out, we ate some treats at the Frozen Marketplace. As always, my parents had ice cream, and I tried something I wanted to try for a long time: a chocolate cake heart on a pop stick, covered with white chocolate and coconut grater and a snowflake out of blue fondant. It was DELICIOUS and I want to make these at home some day! The price was really good and I didn't manage to eat the whole cake. Getting kinda hungry while I'm writing this.. Oh well. After Frozen Summer Fun, we walked around in Frontierland, did some shopping and went to sit down and wait for the parade. We stayed in the shade and it was nice to have a rest. The parade started at 5.30 PM. I was so happy when I saw the Rapunzel I met in the pavilion on the float! Flynn was handsome as always and even made the Smolder. My mum was wearing my dad's hat and
Baloo came to steal it from her. He tried to run away with it but decided to give it back to her. Did I mention that my mum attracts characters? In almost every parade, a character comes and interacts with her. It's so funny! Sometimes, characters also come to me during the parade. We're very lucky, I guess. When it was over, we went to Meet Mickey Mouse in Frontierland. Because the parade was still going in Main Street, the waiting time was only 30 minutes. I liked the waiting room because you can watch cartoons while you wait for your special audience. Before you get to see Mickey, a cast member makes sure that you put your prettiest smile on and when he saw my mum and me, smiling all over our faces, he complimented us and kisses our hands. Such a gentleman. Finally, it was time to meet the boss himself. I curtseyed to Mickey and he bowed. I told him that it's such a pleasure to meet him and then I asked how Minnie was. He showed me with his hands that she is fine and that he loves her more than anything else in the earth. Mickey is the perfect boyfriend! Then we talked about his new show, Mickey and the Magician. I told him that I really liked the philosophy of it: The magic lives in all of us. He showed me proudly the banners of his show in his room.
I asked him whether he and his friends still run the House of Mouse. We talked about it and made some photos. I think one can say that our last day was an iconic-Disney-characters day! After meeting Mickey, we were hungry ate at Casey's Corner.  I ordered the chicken nuggets with fries and my parents got hot dogs. It was 7 PM when we decided to do one last ride before we leave the world of magic and of course, it had to be Peter Pan's Flight. The waiting time was 50 minutes and I think that's okay for the ride. I always enjoy listening to the queue music. It's perfect for the atmosphere in Fantasyland. The waiting time passed by so quickly and with a smile and a heavy heart, we enjoyed our last flight to Neverland. The magic came to an end and as we walked down Main Street, tears were running down my cheeks. We took a last look at the castle as we left the park. It was hard. Knowing that we won't come back for a long time always makes my very sad. We went to the bus stop and drove back to the hotel where we packed our luggage before we went to sleep. The next morning, we ate breakfast, loaded the car and drove back home. All in all, it's safe to say that this trip was the best we ever had. I'm so grateful for all the memories and I can say for sure that we'll see each other again, Disneyland Paris.♥

Magic everywhere ✨ Day 5

Our fifth morning started as usual. We had breakfast, got ready and took the shuttle to the parks. It was 10 AM when we got in and headed to the Princess Pavilion. This time, Aurora was inside. It was nice because I wasn't able to meet her the day before. The line this morning was very short, we waited less than an hour. As soon as I came in, Aurora noticed my lanyard and all the princess pins. She was delighted to see herself on it. We had a great conversation! I told her that I love her dress and asked whether the fairies finally decided to leave it pink. She answered that they didn't, they just made a new one in blue and it's in her closet together with her briar rose one. I asked which one she prefers and just like me, she likes her briar rose dress most! Then I asked her how it is to live in the castle, being a princess and being married to a prince. It's still new for her and she likes to go to the forest as much as she can to play with all her animal friends, but her life in the castle is wonderful. I said that I've noticed the castle is getting a repaint. Her answer was lovely: Rapunzel is responsible for this! She works together with the painters to make the castle shine again. That's so cute, isn't it? We also talked about Prince Phillip but Aurora didn't know where he was. I should tell her, if I saw him. Then, we took some photos. She was such a darling!
After the pavilion, we wanted to go to the Studios because usually, at 1 AM some characters come out. As we went trough the Discovery Arcade, we saw Mary Poppins and the penguins meeting guests at Main Street! When we arrived, the cast member said that Mary will be back at 1 AM. I was SO happy because Mary Poppins is one of my favourite Disney characters and I would have never imagined to meet her during this trip! We were the only persons who waited for her and I was never the first
person in a line before. Felt quite good. I was so excited to meet her and 15 minutes later, she and the penguins came out. This Mary Poppins was very authentic. She had this "practically perfect in every way" attitude. If you watched Mary Poppins, you probably know what I mean. We talked about Bert, who was sweeping the chimneys in Main Street. I asked her how Jane and Michal were and she told me that they still like to go fly a kite together. We had a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious time together and it surely was a jolly holiday with Mary! I hugged her and the penguins and we said goodbye to each other. It wasn't even 1.15 PM and I've already met
two four characters (Aurora, Mary and two penguins). We went in the Studios but there weren't any characters out so we went in a shop. I got myself a pin trading book and then we returned to the Disneyland Park. It was very muggy that day and what's a better weapon against the heat than eating ice cream? Back to Fantasia Gelati! As my parents were eating their ice cream, Suzy and Perla came out! I love Cinderella and her cute mice friends, so obviously I needed a photo with them! My dad was so nice and came with me even though he hadn't finished his ice cream yet and it melted. I waited patiently until Suzy picked me out of the circle.
Many parents wanted to push their children to the front but that's normal for people without a good behavior, I guess. No matter if it's a face or fur character, I always try to speak to them. It's so much fun because there are so many possibilities to interact with them instead of only taking a picture. So when Suzy picked me, I told her that she looks beautiful in her blue dress. She was so happy and made a blushing-pose. Then I thanked her for helping Cinderella getting ready every morning, making the pink dress and always trying to cheer her up. She then showed me that they still make new dresses for her! She gave me a big hug and blew me kisses. I told her to say hello to Jaq and Gus from me and then I went over to Perla. I also told her how pretty and beautiful she looks in the pink dress. She also loved my dress and wanted me to twirl with her several times. ♥ Then she spotted the Cinderella pin on my lanyard and was very cheerful. We danced together and she gave be a big hug. Suzy and Perla are the cutest mice on earth! I'm so happy that I had the opportunity to meet them. I wanted to meet Mickey that day but there was a very long waiting time so we decided to do it tomorrow. I looked up the waiting time for the other attractions and we took a ride on the Casey Jr. Circus Train. It's always nice to see the Storybook land from above. Am I the only one who's scared of falling in the
water while going in the boats of the Storybook canal ride? I think so. Well, when we came out of the ride, we saw that Peter Pan was standing out there! I think there were about eight parents and their children who jumped the queue until the cast member intervened. That's the only thing that makes me angry at Disneyland. Why do some parents think that their kids have privileges in front of adults? Just because their kids? Wasn't it Walt Disney himself who said "You're dead if you aim only for kids. Adults are only kids grown up, anyway.". So PLEASE stop thinking you or your children have any privileges. Thank you. However, back to Peter. We talked about the lost boys, about Tinkerbell who is still jealous when Wendy is around Peter and he told me how he recognises pirates: They smell/stink. It was so funny because he pointed at a girl in the line and whispered that she is one. Then he asked me to be a lost girl. I agreed and we took some photos.
With the help of faith, trust and a little bit pixie dust, which Peter sprinkled over my head, we even flew to Neverland! After our meet, we went inside Alice's Curious Labyrinth. After it, we left the Park and did some shopping in the Village. Normally, we go shopping the last day but we decided that it would be good to do it this evening. We were right, because after we finished our shopping tour and arrived back in the hotel at 9 PM, it suddenly started to rain very hard. Lucky us! We spent the evening eating some french pastries, drinking tee and watching TV. Opening the windows, feeling the fresh night wind on my skin and breathing the cool air was so refreshing and pleasant after days full of heat. I slept better than the days before.

Magic everywhere ✨ Day 4

This morning we decided to sleep longer because we went to bed late. At 8 AM, we woke up, ate breakfast and at 10.30 AM we took the shuttle bus to the park. As every morning before, the sun was shining and the weather was great. We headed to the princess pavilion for Ariel. I haven't met her before so it was really exciting! We talked about Dinglehoppers and that she still likes to brush her hair with it. I asked how Flounder and Sebastian were doing and she showed me the pretty shell Flounder brought her from the ocean. I think I've never seen someone with such beautiful eyes like hers before. They are as blue as sapphire. We took great photos and made the fishy face together. Meeting Ariel was so much fun! It became our daily routine to visit the princess pavilion and after that, eat ice cream at Fantasia Gelati. I think it was about 1 PM when I checked Twitter on my mobile phone to see which characters are out in the park. When I saw that Aurora was in the Studios, we decided to go there. As we arrived, the cast members closed the queue.
I wasn't sad or dissapointed because I never am when I'm at Disneyland. Miracles wait for
you in every corner! And sometimes, they might be even better than you think and guess what? Soon after that, I saw that Jasmine and Aladdin were out too! Surprisingly, the queue was not too long and we hurried in the line. Some (or better said, many) rude people tried queue jumping and the cast members tried to rebuke them, but they were a little bit overburdened because in every moment, even more people came and queue jumped. Why do some people don't understand simple rules? However, it was my time and as long as I could see Aladdin and Jasmine, I was happy. I've never met a prince before and it was such a great honor to meet my second favourite prince, Aladdin. He and Jasmine were the cutest couple! They were so nice to me, we talked about magic carpet rides and that we should do one together, how great Dschini was in Dreams last night and that he prepares himself for Mickey and the Magician at the moment, the other royal couples and so much more! Did you know that all the princesses and princes love to meet each other in Tiana's restaurant? They told me that she makes the best food in the world! Both made me compliments and Jasmine even blowed me a kiss. She was so pretty! We hugged each other, made cute photos and hold hands. As we said goodbye, Jasmine blew me a kiss. How cute is this, right?! I loved them! I had such a great time with them and the memories will stay in my heart forever. ♥ After the meet and greet, we went to see "Mickey and the Magician". It was a nice show but to be honest, I was expecting more since everyone said that it's the best show Disneyland Paris ever had. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed and liked it, but it didn't blow me over.
Then, we went to Ratatouille, my favourite ride in the Studios. The waiting time for the single ride line was only 15 minutes, while the normal line had 55 minutes - it's obvious which line we took. Ratatouille is one of my favourite pixar movies, together with Toy Story and Merida. The ride is great and the best moment is when you get water splashes after they open the bottle of champagner. After Ratatouille, we did the Studio Tram Tour for the first time and I DID NOT expect the part with the waterfall and the fire. Oh my, that was amazing! We thought that the Tram Tour would be something like the Railroad in the Disneyland Park, a slow and relaxing ride through the park. We were quite impressed! Then we went in a shop. The day before we went to Disney Fashion and they had a Tinkerbell leather jacket. I loved it but a) they didn't have my size and b) it was too expensive for me. So when we went in the shop, my dad disappeared. I looked at the pins, my mum looked at the mugs. Then, my dad came back with a huge smile on his face and the Tinkerbell jacket in my size. He wanted me to try it on and when he saw that it fitted me, he told me to take it off and disappeared once more. He bought it for me! I was so gratefull and happy because I would have never bought it myself. Thank you, dad! ♥ By the way, my parents and me have annual passports so we get -20% off in all the stores. It was about 5 PM when we got hungry. My favourite restaurant is Annette's Diner and that was also the restaurant we went to eat. I love their burgers and as an annual passport holder, you get a cocktail for free. My mum and me got cheeseburgers with fries, my dad ordered a fish burger with salad. They make the best buns I know, I love Annette's sauce and the patties are always so soft! Unfortunately, we don't have such a good burger house here in my city. My father is an expert when it comes to fish and he also loved his burger! By the way, the salad was very huge. I'm not into vegetables at all, so I'll always have fries with my food. We didn't have a dessert since we were really full after the burgers. Thanks to my annual passport, I had a 10% discount and after we payed, we went to some shops and spend the evening in the village before we took the shuttle back to the hotel.

Magic everywhere ✨ Day 3

Our third day in the parks started at 8 AM and the first thing I had to do was clearing up a problem with my photopass+ because it didn't show me the pictures from the day before. It turned out that they had a problem with their servers slowing the ascent of the pictures on the photopass. However, the problem was resolved soon so we went to Buzz Lightyear Laster Blast. The waiting time this morning were really short, so we only had to wait five minutes. After Buzz, he headed over to the Princess Pavilion and queued for Snow White. We had a great conversation about the dwarfs and their household. She told me that she still visits them sometimes to show them how to clean their house properly. I asked her whether she still likes to eat apples despite what happened to her. She answered yes, but instead of red apples, she only trusts the green ones. Furthermore, she prefers to use them for her pies rather than eating them normally. After some talk, we took some pictures and hugged each other goodbye. I don't think there is a better way to start a perfect morning than with a princess hug. After the pavilion, we went for an ice cream to Fantasia Gelati.
I'm not really into ice cream, but they have italian twirled ice cream in vanilla/chocolate flavour which is my favourite ice cream ever! Because we wanted to watch Disney Dreams! this night, we decided to go to some shops and after that, back to the hotel to rest a little bit. I got myself a buddy I've been wanting for two years - a giant Stitch! He is so cute, fluffy and sooo big! No regrets. Back in the hotel, I took a nap and we packed my backpack with some hoodies for the night. At 3:30 PM, we went back to the park to watch the parade. Before our trip, I watched many Disneyland Paris Vlogs on Youtube so I found the perfect and not too crowded place for the parade: between the castle and the restaurant Bella Notte. It was great! Not too many people and we were protected from the sunlight.
An awesome cast member came to us and we talked a little bit. Overall, many cast members noticed my lanyard and my pins and it's obvious that I love the princesses. When the parade cast member asked me where we are from and I told him that we're from Germany, he made us laugh with the only german phrase he knew: Ich bin betrunken (I'm drunk). The day before, one cast member said to us: Ich bin eine große Kartoffel (I'm a huge potatoe). When I told the parade cast member about it, he wanted to learn that phrase too. We laughed so much and after all it's the cast members who bring the magic to our lives. I love talking to them even tough I'm very shy in the "real life". My parents noticed that Disneyland has a very positive effect on me because I'm coming out of my shell. Normally, I already have problems to ask employees in a grocery store for a thing I'm searching but in Disneyland, I talk to so many people: the cast members, the fur and face characters and sometimes even guests! It's amazing! I wish the magic would come with me everywhere I go. Enough of that, let's talk about the parade!
I was a little bit confused because I remembered that it always started at 5 PM but this time, it started at 5:30 PM, which was fine too. As I said before, we stood between the castle and Bella Notte and I have to admit, I had the best character interaction of my life. I think the characters notice you much more because there aren't as many people as on Main Street.  I love the parade. There are so many princesses and even Mary Poppins. My favourite float is the Frozen/Tangled one. This time, something wonderful happened. As the Tangled Float came closer, I've send him a heart gesture with my hands. He saw me and REPLIED to it! Oh my, my heart melted! My Disney crush finally noticed me! The rest of the parade was as magical as usual. After it, I was very hungry and always wanted to try the restaurant Hakuna Matata. When we arrived in the restaurant, it was empty. I ordered the Hakuna fries and the chicken pieces and loved them! The fries were crispy and the chicken pieces were very soft. Gonna eat them there again!
Then I checked the waiting time for Phantom Manor, one of my favourite rides, and as it was only five minutes, we went there and rode it. The cast member inside was really good in his role. When you go into the elevator, everything is dark and there are no lights allowed. I've seen some people in the park who played PokemonGo and the cast member said that there are no pokemons inside. Everyone laughed.

Before our trip, I looked up the story behind Phantom Manor and told it my parents. With the knowledge, I looked completely different at the ride than before and it was even more exciting. If you want to know more about it, check out the Phantom Manor story in the Disney Wiki. It was already 9 PM when we sat down on a bench to wait for Dreams. In Disneyland, the time always passes by so fast, that's unbelieveable. While we waited, Anna and Elsa had their royal welcome and we watched the Main Street lighten up. It always reminds me of Christmas, such a wonderful view.
There weren't as many people as last year when we watched Dreams which was quite nice. So the time went by and we waited patiently for the words: "And now, Disney Dreams!". These four words always give me goose bumps. If someone asks me what the most emotional moment was, then it's definitely Dreams. This show destroys me emotionally EVERY TIME. I cried so much that someone even thought I hurted myself. I'm a huge crybaby, I know, but know what? I don't care. The beginning scene with a "second star to the right" hit me right in my heart. I sang along with all my soul and when the Tangled scene came, I was done.

I think that there is nothing more beautiful and wonderful on this whole wide world than this scene. The lanterns on the castle are so magical and Flynn and Rapunzel in the boat.. No words can describe this. And even right now while I'm writing it, tears drop down my cheeks. By the way, I know that there are some videos of Dreams on Youtube but in my view, you can't catch the feelings with a camera. You have to see it live. My parents know how Dreams make me feel and that's why we waited some minutes until I calmed down. We went back to the Disney Village parking lot and drove back to the hotel. We talked about our day and went to bed at 1 AM.
